Traveling

THURSDAY, 14 May 2015
It rained all week.  It is cloudy today.  I went swimming this morning and came home packed, cleaned the house, fridge, did laundry and vacuumed in anticipation for our travels to Dallas to see our Granddaughter Elizabeth in the musical Twinderella!
SUNDAY, 17 May 2015
We had a marvelous time in Dallas with our Todd and Allyson and their children.   Thursday evening Allyson and I went to Relief Society where I met a bunch of lovely ladies and had salad and a lesson about declutering our homes.  Each sister brought three items they no longer wanted and then others got to pick three items they would like to take home with them.
Todd took the day off on Friday and we went to the Dallas Temple and did sealings that morning.  It was wonderful been in the temple with Todd and Allyson.
We went to J. C. Penney after and bought towels for our master bathroom.  The towels we had left in there were pretty shabby and we were spoiled at the Inn and missed the fluffy towels we are used to!

Elizabeth's play was Friday evening, Saturday afternoon and Saturday evening.  It was great to see her in each production.  The cast and crew were great and each production was different.  Some add-libs etc.  It was fun to see these young people developing such great talent.  Elizabeth got an award for Best In Ensemble!  She was ecstatic!
She looked so cute in her narrator costume.
We also attended Tanner's last basketball game.  He made 14 points and is quite the little player.  It was fun to see how aggressive on the court he is now.
Just before the play, on Friday evening, Allyson got a phone call that a friend of hers had gone into labor.  Allyson had promised her that they would take their three daughters when the baby decided to arrive.  So Allyson left and brought three beautiful girls back to spend the weekend with us.  Their father is Polynesian.  These three little girls are all 8.  Two of them were twins. Their names were Mela, Laina and Elsa.  So Tanner and Elizabeth got to experience having siblings for a couple of days.
Todd took us all out to eat.  We sat in a round room with a big round table.
This is our Three King Arthur's!  Grandpa Arthur,  Arthur Todd and Arthur Tanner.
Mela, Elizabeth, Laina and Elsa
The girls played dress up and just played for days together.  They were so excited to go home on Sunday and see their new little 10 lb baby brother.  I was very touched as I watched my daughter-in-law and son take these three little girls into their home and treat them like their own children.  They are the best.
We went to Church with Todd's family this morning.  We left after Sacrament and drove back to Edmond, OK.  Now we must get serious and fix this cave up!  For some reason I just can't get motivated into getting resettled.  Wish me luck!

Each time I enter the Y, I think of Dr. Seuss books.  Do these plants look like one of the characters in his books?
It has been cloudy most of the -eek.  I as hoping the lost city of Enoch -ould sho- up, but instead the fog dissipated.  It is supposto rain by this evening so I guess -e -ill just have to enjoy moisture in the promised land.  Traveling -ith Enoch must -ait for another day.
City of Enoch descending.
“And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established . . . And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem” (Isaiah 2:2-3).
The city of Enoch will return to the earth after the Second Coming, at the start of the Millennium, becoming part of the New Jerusalem that is to be built in what is now Jackson County, Missouri in the United States.
And righteousness will I send down out of heaven; and truth will I send forth out of the earth, to bear testimony of mine Only Begotten; his resurrection from the dead; yea, and also the resurrection of all men; and righteousness and truth will I cause to sweep the earth as with a flood, to gather out mine elect from the four quarters of the earth, unto a place which I shall prepare, an Holy City, that my people may gird up their loins, and be looking forth for the time of my coming; for there shall be my tabernacle, and it shall be called Zion, a New Jerusalem.
And the Lord said unto Enoch: Then shalt thou and all thy city meet them there, and we will receive them into our bosom, and they shall see us; and we will fall upon their necks, and they shall fall upon our necks, and we will kiss each other;
And there shall be mine abode, and it shall be Zion, which shall come forth out of all the creations which I have made; and for the space of a thousand years the earth shall rest (Moses 7:62-64).
I guess I'll just have to get busy and unpack my home.  Some day -e shall rest.
Heather helped us find a ne- bed frame on line.  -e sold our frame before our mission.  She found this beautiful frame for us.  -e picked it up this morning before the rains come.  I love it.  Grandpa put the couch at the end of the bed so he can -atch the deer out on the grass outside.
Thank You Heather.
This is -here I -ill find rest till the City of Enoch -hisks us a-ay!

Last evening -e visited our youngest sons family.  His daughter Brenna graduated from 5th grade.  Her school does not have the 6th grade.  So she is off to Edmond Middle School next fall.  Our grandchildren are gro-ing up.
Grandpa and I purchased a je-elry box for her.
Brenna is a lovely Granddaughter, don't you think?
My daughter, Heather and I headed out to Relief Society tonight.  It is A Celebration of Friendship and all things 80's!  Gummy Bears, Pop Rocks, Sugar Daddys etc. -ere the treats.  -e played a game -here -e got to kno- 4 ne- sisters better.  I just hope I can remember their names!  Then our first visiting teaching routes -ere given out.  My partner and I have three sisters to visit.  One -as a letter only route...and there -as no information on her at all.  Does that sound familiar?  Back to the sleuth mode.
So -e are the eyes and ears for our Relief Society President.  She has tons of eyes and ears -orking for her! " Let's get together, yah yah yah".  Hurrah for Relief Society!
So the 80's candy -as a hit for these girls -ho -ere youth in the 80's!
This is a picture of our Grandson Luke.  He comes do-n to our house as soon as school ends...-hich the last day is tomorro-...I best stock up on treats!  -e love giving him hugs, a treat and sending him on his -ay.  He al-ays asks if -e can drive him home (he lives right behind us (but there is a forest bet-een the houses....).  I generally -alk him to the chicken coop and then he runs the rest of the -ay home!  He is so brave!
