Our friends, Ken and Karen Hutto visited last evening. They arrived with a beautiful Magnolia Blossom and a huge bag of cookies. My children loved the cookies. Thank's for the great treat Karen. I have tried, so hard, to gro- a magnolia tree in our yard. The Hutto's have a huge one in their front yard and so they shared this beautiful bloom with me.
So these are the best cookies in town. I wish I could have shared them with all of you! My family thanks you too Sister Hutto.
Our son, Todd and his family are here for the weekend. They already saw the movie Tomorrow-land, so guess I will wait until it comes on DVD. Ryan and his family visited with us last night too. They left this morning for a week visit in Utah with Sarah's family. We hope they have safe travels and a good visit with all. This picture is of Art & our son-in-law Mike and our sons Ryan and Todd & Rachel our granddaughter.
Heather, Allyson and Sarah -ith a photo bomb of Rachel and Mike! _e are so thankful for each of them.
So our celebration begins: Happy Memorial Day to each of you. We have so many memories of battles fought to obtain our freedom. We have many loved ones who lost their lives in war. We thank each of them this weekend for the sacrifices they have made in our behalf.
One of the High Councilmen, Brother Knowles, visited with us about a new calling. It will be tomorrow, so here we begin another new adventure. No rest for the weary! It was & we must carry on. They phoned on Sunday and said it won't happen today...so now we wait.

It was a great Memorial Day weekend. I went swimming in Heather's pool, for the first time. The water was around 60 degrees. I thought I had frostbite on my fingers when I climbed out. They were numb for about a half hour and then they stung for another half hour....it was a great swim though! Having all the grandchildren around made for a good Memorial Day, we are so thankful for those who sacrificed their lives for us so we could feel so safe this day.
This is a photo of our 6 grandchildren enjoy the day hanging out with family. Their Aunt Allyson had ping pong tournaments, pillow fights, games, movies and all sorts of fun for them. Of course they did a lot of Technology too!

Our hilly driveway.

It rained every day and so the earth in Oklahoma has been refreshed. I love when Mike lets the chickens
roam on the property. He also got a new rooster that has a great voice.

The rooster is busy!
The ladies enjoying being out of the coop.
The sun is shinning and I promised little Luke to take him to his reading class today, so until later....

So today the sun is shinning and it is beautiful outdoors. It as a perfect day to sit with the grandchildren when they swam.
Life is good!
FRIDAY, 29 MAY 2015
It has been raining in the evenings now so didn't get to swim yesterday, lightening and thunder all morning yesterday. So I began today with a great swim! Grandpa Arthur leaves in a couple of hours to go to the airport for flight to Denmark..I'm driving him there, he is nervous and already pacing...it is great that I can relax at home for few days. He is ready and even did a load of wash all by himself!

We received a surprise package in the mail. Brother and Sister Mylroie from the Palmyra Temple sent us this Trophy for our service as missionaries there. We were so surprised. It made me cry. Life is good. Thank you to the Mylroies!
I have my Tomorrow Land pin in my temple bag. It was made in the 80's sometime. Since seeing the new movie and knowing I HAVE A PIN!, I decided to share it so all of you can see. Touch this picture of the pin and see if you move into a wheat field and beyond. If you don't know what I am talking about then you haven't seen the movie yet...and need to do so. If you are a young person and have seen the movie, then know anything is possible if you work toward success and honesty and knowledge. "I Believe!" For those that are living in drought conditions and your wheat crop does not have the kernels it should have then you need to visit "tomorrow land" and put your name on the prayer roll. It is time to make this planet better...do you agree?
SATURDAY, 30 MAY 2015
It is cloudy, windy and cool in Edmond, OK today. After a long night of traveling and several plane changes, Grandpa Arthur and our son Eric made it into Denmark. They were to travel together from Chicago, but ended up finally meeting in Copenhagen. This is a picture of Grandpa eating lunch in Sweeden! Have a good vacation Grandpa.
We got news, this evening, that Elder L. Tom Perry passed away today. He was 92. I'm sure he is very comfortable tonight. I am glad he did not have to suffer very long. We are going to miss you Elder Perry. Blessings to his family. I met him once, when I was expecting Heather, and he was a very kind and gentle man. He gave me some good advice at the time which I have treasured. "God be with you...."
Art hired a man to cut down 6 of our trees above the driveway. It took him several days. He left one oak tree for Grandpa to cut into firewood. Our yard is forever taking time to get cleaned up, but it is starting to look pretty. The yard has loved all the rain we have been having. Now we are to be sunny and dry until Grandpa returns. Erie looking tree.
Our day Lily's are blooming.
Our weather vane is once again on a tree stump. The weather man said this is a good week to go
fishin' as soon as the lakes calm down from all the rain. I bet the mosquitos are biting!
The sun is shining in Edmond today, and the weatherman said it should be that way till Grandpa returns next Saturday. Good Sabbath to each of you.
This is a picture of a Danish Castle Grandpa visited. "King Arthur" can you imagine mowing that lawn and cleaning that palace....? Not possible in this lifetime and at this age. Ha...life is good in the Oklahoma cave this morning.
Enjoy this Day of The Lord.
Remember to tell your children you love them.
Hug's always,

Things accomplished this week:
I finished reading "The Selection" series by Cass. I went to her site, online, and her books are going to be made into movies...Congratulations. These books are great.
I oiled my sewing machine and it soaked up the oil. Now it sews pretty good for an ol' machine.
I made new blinds for the kitchen windows.
I did laundry, dishes, cleaned this cave and vacuumed, pulled weeds in the flower beds.
I read my scriptures.
I am studying "The Old Testament". Just making sure I am prepared when I meet with Isaiah again!
I am working on a jig saw puzzle with a garden scene.
I used essential oils and enjoyed reading about them.
I am trying to keep up with technology.
I enjoy being by my daughter and her family. I enjoyed speaking on the phone with other relatives. I enjoy Facebook and the connection with friends and family. If any of you want to see all the pictures of Grandpa Arthur and Eric's adventures in Denmark, look on my Facebook page.
I took Grandpa Arthur to the airport and found my way back to the cave again.
I read stories about Elder L. Tom Perry. I pondered this life and its beauties.
I at chocolate.
I said my prayers.
