I just returned from swimming.  As I entered the Y this morning a secretary asked how I was doing?  I told her I was doing good, and asked how she was.  She answered, "I'm livin' the DREAM"!  I've been pondering that today....what are your DREAMS?  Are you livin' them?  I DREAM of walking this path  of life with the Savior,  as I overcome being a colon cancer patient.  Never did I DREAM this cancer could happen to Grandma Gene.    I DREAM my Uncle Lanny will regain his health and strength from his heart surgery.  He was able to go home from the hospital this week.  DREAMS do come true.  I DREAM health and peace to all who read this DREAMY blog.

We got a e-mail that our credit card was hacked...someone in India tried to purchase about $800.00 worth of items at a dress shop.  The credit card company is on top of things...I never have spent that much at a dress shop...new credit cards are ordered...scary.  I'd say the ten commandments covers this borrowing (Hacking) DREAM!  Grandpa Arthur's cousin Fred Mortensen and wife have just been called to be mission president in India...they need our prayers!

We love living in the cave.  Springtimes arrival is enjoyable.  We have a magnolia that blooms before the leaves form.

The best DREAM for this yard would be a gentle rain as shown in this photo from the "Friend".

Of course because Grandpa Arthur and Grandma Gene live in a cave we can sing the children's Hymn: "The Wise Man & The Foolish Man"....and the rains came tumbling down....and  we can DREAM of rain.  It rained on Sunday, 13 March 2016 as we went to get our Stake Temple Recommend signatures...we thought that was awesome...Thank's Lord.

 

We have planted hundreds of bulbs only to have the gophers eat them...I must admit I am a little envious of our neighbors daffodil patch.  It is on the side of the road as we drive onto the street.  Isn't this patch great?  See why we want photo's of your flowers Susan Poston?  These took our neighbors great effort to grow!

The neighbors also have the "popcorn tree" that just gets prettier every day.  "The grass is always greener..."

Every day...birds try to get in the windows of the cave so they can make a nest in our atrium!  All day this week we have been hearing the birds knocking on the windows...Ha!  I don't know how many of them have knocked themselves out.  Poor little birdies DREAMING of their Spring nests.  Such entertainment for us in the cave!

Our baby boy Ryan's birthday is tomorrow FRIDAY, 11 March 2016.  We are so blessed to have him living by us.  We celebrated his birthday last Sunday.  His wife fixed his favorite meal of homemade noodles and spaghetti.  It was so good!  We love this picture of Ryan and Sarah.  Thank you Sarah for the lovely dinner.  Happy 36th Birthday Ryan!

We called all the children in to have a blessing on the food on Sunday.  Luke sat down in front of me and this had us both in giggles before the blessing began.  Luke loves Sarah's "Cupcake" dog!  Cupcake was just saying her own blessing & DREAMING, right?  Ha.  Lukey loves this puppy dog.

As I continue to DREAM of our New York Palmyra Temple Mission I feel I must include these pictures of the Becksteads.  Sherlauna met Brent in St. George, but he lived in Palmyra for 5 different summers.  Marilyn Donake introduced them.  This is for all our friends who know Sherlauna & Brent.  Their DREAMS came true!

Brent is so thankful that Sherlauna is taking such good care of him....right Brent?  We are thankful that they are taking care of each other.  Congratulation's on living a DREAM come true you two love traveling birds.

So another Sunday rolled around.  We got the family together again.  Heather and Lily are in England for Lily's spring break, so Allyson, Todd's wife came to care for the Hansen children while Mike works.  You all know how thankful I am to Allyson? !  So we had 4 birthdays this last weekend.  Ryan was the 11th.  Amy, our daughter in law in Wisconsin, and Elizabeth, Todd & Allyson's daughter were on the 12th and Leif, Mike and Heather's son was on the 13th.  Here are a few of the pictures of our Sunday night party!  These are the three birthday family that were present.

Finally Elizabeth and  Leif got to open their gifts...they thought it took forever for that time to arrive.

We saved the best for last...love, love, love our grandchildren.  Six grandchildren are missing from this picture...but they too are loved, and missed.

As we all "March" along this month, we just want you to know we hope all your DREAMS come true and that  you enjoy, enjoy your families and loved ones.  We recognize the blessings that are ours.  It's not just the luck of our Irish ancestors that can bring us peace, look to Christ and live!
