Well, yesterday was my first nightmare day since returning from our mission. First off the Heart Hospital phoned and said I most likely will have a copay of $300.00 with each of my four surgery's on my leg...they think...not sure...interesting, this should be a paperwork nightmare. Poor Doctors and the paperwork...let alone being up on all procedures...which of course, I'm praying my Dr. Hennebry is, I trust you Dr. Hennebry!
I was using my computer, early in the morning, looking on facebook. Every time I opened a page to look at it, I would get this little frownie face and the words, AW SNAP! The page will not open you can kill it and try again or you can try and repair it. So I clicked on repair...they suggested I turn off my firewall in systems...then encrypt a new file. ???? So I tried to do this and in about an hour it said I could work on my computer again if I logged in, so I went to log in and my password would not work...there was no way to renew or change the password. I tried every password I have ever used and finally called Apple. They worked, over the phone, with me for an hour and then made an appointment at our local store for 5:30 pm. Art went with me, so he could understand what I did! Ha! After about an hour with an Apple Specialist my Desktop came back on! Yay, for the Apple
Store technicians! I learned that when a computer is purchased there is a master log in for the computer and then there is a log in for Apple....who knew. My oldest son Eric purchased the computer and put dots after my initials. I sign into Apple with the same name, Gene D W Bushman, but did not put periods after the D. W. which I needed for this log in. I'm here to declare that periods at this age cause great difficulty! Ha!! This teaching moment caused agony to many. Then when I got home I was instructed to de-encrypt that which I had encrypted or it would slow my computer down. This took 12 hours! Thank you for your help and recovery Apple Store!
So this morning I awoke and turned on the computer. I was looking at some page and
AW SNAP! I just shut the computer down and rebooted it! This should be an interesting year as the Technical Teacher in Seminary!
"'Snap' issues commonly occur when the Windows® Operating System becomes overloaded with invalid system reference, as well as deleted or corrupted registry files. Consequently, important computer files may be lost, erased or damaged. As your computer becomes older, inadequate maintenance may lead to various Windows® system errors. Therefore, computer crashes and freezes may also start to become more frequent and problematic."
That may be why I was the only one in the Apple Store with a desk top machine! Grandpa Arthur carried the heavy item into the store! My computer is 8 years old...this is the most beautiful piece of furniture in our Bush Man Cave! Do you agree?

A couple from our Cortland Ward, on our mission, Gary and Debbie Lawrence and their granddaughter Cirena were driving through Oklahoma today. They phoned and asked if we could meet them at an Olive Garden by I 44...they were driving a 5 wheel. So we went to lunch with them. It was so good to visit with all three of them. They left New York in June and traveled out to Utah, Wyoming, down to Texas and now are headed back home with various stops along the way.
This picture shows what happens when you have a granddaughter with you. Cirena said she has really enjoyed being with her two grandparents. She is one lucky granddaughter to have these two
lovely people to travel with. Thank you Brother and Sister Lawrence for taking the time to visit us.
We loved being in the Cortland New York Ward with this great family! We miss the great people in
that Ward. Blessings to each of you.
This is a picture of the 5th wheel they are driving. I love that they are traveling with two of their "babies"...dogs and so while we were eating, they were in the truck patiently waiting with the air going, of course.
When I took this picture, the dogs were looking for their mom and dad!
There is Debbie's dog in the front seat and Gary's dog in the back.
I'm framed in the door handle...ha.

Today, it has been fifteen years since the Oklahoma City Oklahoma Temple was dedicated. Welcome to the Promised Land! We went to the temple today to celebrate this momentous occasion! AW SNAP, old works occurring behind these doors!

We headed off to Norman, OK for an Institute and Seminary seminar this morning. There was a room full of volunteers at the Institute Building. We were surprised at many of the people who were there with us from surrounding areas who have also been called as Seminary Teachers. The meeting started at 9 AM and went to around 1:00 PM. We had several speakers...all young, to us, and absolutely great teachers. They taught us from the Gospel Teaching and Learning handbook. I had read the book online, but they gave us our own copy which we greatly appreciated. A couple of the speakers taught lessons, from the manual, for us to show us examples on teaching. Please, Brother Valletta, thank all who were responsible for this informative meeting. They also gave us snacks, lunch and supplies for our classes...we are going to have a great attitude about this calling, once we figure how to wake up early and be at the Edmond Ward Building on time!
Today is our Granddaughter Rachel's 6th Birthday! She is such a delight. We took her gift to her last evening since we had meetings today. I bought her a hairbrush and she brushed Grandpa Arthur's hair opposite of the way he wears it...ha...she thought that was great. Then Grandpa Art combed Rachel's hair! She looks so beautiful. She gave me extra hugs when we left. Thank you Rachel, we love you!

After a day of meetings we drove to Our Granddaughter Rachel's to have cupcakes with her on her Birthday. We sang Happy Birthday and she blew out the candle.
Her siblings watched to make sure she got her wish!
This is my yummy cupcake.
Rachel had to show me the swimming fin her parents got her. I loved it. I will have to see her swim with this astonishing fin! Happy 6th Birthday Rachel
These are just a few highlights of some of my other grandchildren this week.
Cannon wondered if he had cotton in his belly button?
He also had to show me his apps and he demonstrated how good he can do sit ups...he is a strong boy, AW SNAP fun.
Leif is learning how to tie his new school shoes. I think Grandma Hansen will follow through on this teaching next week. She successfully taught his other siblings!
Luke sent me his first text this week, slfjsleif;asleijfess, along with this selfie! I am one lucky Grandma.
So now I need to go pick up my Book of Mormon and continue to study. I have about finished 3rd Nephi...I am going to finish before the 100 day challenge is over...good thing cause now I must again reread the Old Testament. Aw, Sister Gene and the burning Bush man, it makes so much sense this time around! So the challenge now is to obey the commandments...both tablets! AW SNAP, "Obey Thy Father and Thy Mother that Thy days may be long upon the land which The Lord Thy God giveth Thee"! (Exodus 20:12) I hope Moses & Jesus are close to our class when we teach this lesson in this day and age of media and technology. Do you liken the scriptures unto yourself? It can be very enlightening.
Enjoy this final month of Summer. Remember to tell your family and children you love them. Please friends and family know we love each of you and thank you for your goodness and mercy to us. Our friends, The Bithell's, brought us a dozen peaches yesterday. Yummy! Nothing like peaches and cream on a Sabbath Day. Thank's Dee and Laurie. Safe travels.
Hug's always,
Grandma Gene and Grandpa Arthur

Here are a couple of plants from our yard that I saw as we drove back from our visit.
Only these flowers can stand this afternoon Oklahoma heat...it is miserable outdoors today. I spent a few minutes snapping off dead blooms...AW SNAP...too hot! THURSDAY, 30 JULY 2015

So the controversy continues whether the 10 commandments should be on government property. I promise if the commandments are in your own heart and mind and actions, then The Lord will speak with you through The Holy Ghost and give you personal revelation. May you enjoy this promise from the "Script" of the Old Testament to you. Enjoy this final month of Summer. Remember to tell your family and children you love them. Please friends and family know we love each of you and thank you for your goodness and mercy to us. Our friends, The Bithell's, brought us a dozen peaches yesterday. Yummy!
